Styled by Stacy CLE Holiday Shopping Guide: The Cleveland Crate Company!

3.) The Cleveland Crate Company

While researching for local retailers and designers for my December blog, I came across the Cleveland Crate Co. on Instagram. I immediately thought they would be perfect for my CLE Holiday Shopping Guide. Stacie Kavanagh, owner,  has created thoughtful gifts using refurbished weathered crates. After meeting with Stacie to learn more about her business and capture some photographs of her gift crates. I had the opportunity to hear Stacie’s story of how she got started and what she offers. It was one of the most inspiring stories of a local creator and I soon learned half of the fun of visiting local designers/retailers  for this blog was hearing their stories, and Stacie’s will truly give you some CLE pride.

About the Owner:
Stacie grew up in a long time family run wholesale golf and logo business in the Akron area, and over the years fell in love with food, design, art and anything local.  Her parents were inquisitive, creative and business minded so they pushed her to do what she loved. She stated to me, "I strive to select things that are locally made, organic, non-GMO and nitrate free. I spend my spare time with my best friend, my funny Irish hubby who puts a smile on my face every day and our 2 dogs.  We enjoy our 35 nieces and nephews along with rehabbing homes, traveling, trying to eat healthy, exercise and of course a little beverage every now and then!  We love living in Tremont and everyone here is like family to us! " She has so much CLE pride and we are happy to be sharing her company with you!

The Cleveland Crate Company Story:
The Cleveland Crate Company came about after meeting a local apple farmer who retired due to health reasons, leaving him to close and sell off his entire inventory after nearly 100 years in business. His inventory included the crates Stacie uses!

What she offers:
Stacie realized there was an opportunity to offer only locally sourced small batch products in these beautifully weathered crates. Cleveland Crate Co. has absorbed themselves into the local food and craft scene to find the best items in and around Cleveland. They shop local farmer’s markets, craft shows and events in order to sell their handcrafted items. They are in love with each and every item they carefully select to be a part of our crates! What better way to support and showcase the local movement going on in our city than having these crates paired with these amazing locally made products and offer them as occasion gifts!

The Cleveland Crate Co. offers crates for every occasion, here are three of my favorites that are perfect for anyone on your holiday gift list.
