If you are an avid follower of Styled by Stacy, you know I love showing you multiple ways to wear items in your wardrobe. Especially now during these uncertain times where many people may not have the budget for new pieces. I've been a little busy acclimating myself to taking care of two littles. I haven't been able to share a lot on the blog but, if you follow me on Instagram, I've styled the perfect spring tee shirt dress three ways and showed you how to style the latest spring trend, polka dots! Today on the blog I'm taking the summer staple, a denim skirt, and styling it three ways for you. We may be stuck inside now but, I hope my posts inspire you to remix your wardrobe to create fun outfit ideas so you're prepared as soon as we are allowed to mix and mingle again!
This is a look I actually wore last summer to a blogger brunch. I paired my favorite floral kimono with a pink tee and flat sandals. This year I changed it up slightly with my favorite white cami from the Loft (I also have it in black) and some heels, for another great brunch look for when I can meet my blogger girls out again!
My favorite way to style my skirts is with a classic button up woven. I usually pair all my printed and colors skirts with a chambray, but with a denim skirt I decided to pair a simple striped button up. You can also do a classic white, but I liked the pattern play of the stripes. Add some cute booties like did or your favorite flats and you have a cute weekend look!
I love the idea of dressing up the denim skirt with a blazer. It creates a fun summer business casual look. Styling note, with this look you do have to pay attention to the cut of your blazer. I think it works best with a boyfriend cut, it's a little longer so it doesn't cut into the waist and slouchy for a more easy laid back look.
I hope my looks inspire you to bust out your denim skirt from its winter hiding place. I hope you have been inspired to see all the ways you can remix it in your own wardrobe. Feel free to leave what you've created in the comments below, I love hearing from you and how you've been inspired!
