Holiday Hostess Gift Guide!

It’s that time of year when I start to share some holiday gift guides with you. To be clear, I don’t do all the cliche ones like “gifts for him” or “gifts for your bestie.” You know those people and 9 times out of 10, already know what to buy them. I like to think outside the box and help you with gift ideas that may have not come to mind. Last year I shared a Holiday Hostess Gift Guide and it was one of my most popular ones so I thought I’d round up a few new goodies to add to the list. We all have tons of holiday parties to attend and you can’t show up empty handed so here are some of my favorite simple gift ideas that will help you be the greatest party guest ever!

Holiday Wine Charms: Number one question asked at a party, “Is this my wine?” Well leave the guessing game out and bring some fun holiday wine charms to your next party. They’re  fun and helpful and the perfect gift to leave behind for that holiday hostess.

Holiday Wine Stopper: Are you noticing a pattern yet? Wine is always flowing at every holiday party I attend and cute little stoppers are the perfect holiday accent for the bar area and make a great gift idea, especially when you bring a bottle of wine to accompany it!

Hot Chocolate Mix (the good stuff): I’m not talking Swiss Miss over here, I’m talking about splurging for that holiday hostess and buying an amazing tin of Godiva Hot Cocoa or one of the high end cocoa mixes from World Market.

Brie Baker: Because who doesn’t need another useless piece of cookware? All jokes aside, this is one of my favorite holiday gifts I have received as an adult and I use it for almost every party I throw. It’s the perfect little dish specifically made to cook your delicious wheel of brie. Buying a cheese board and knives is so 2018, be on trend by bringing an awesome Brie baker for your hostess to enjoy!

Holiday Candy Pack: Who doesn’t like sweets? Like this Dylan’s Candy Bar variety box.

Fun Cookie Mix Set: This is an idea I came across while searching for some new holiday gifts to share. I love this little cookie mix set and it would be a great gift for any holiday hostess on your list!

Wine (Duh!): If all else fails, you can’t go wrong with a bottle of booze! If your going to a brunch grab Champagne! Dinner? Grab a nice Cabernet or Chardonnay. Pro Tip: don’t be cheap on your wine selection. Im a wine snob and I can spot a bad wine from a mile away. Don’t be that guest. Below I listed some acceptable brands that will have you looking like a sommelier in training!

Champagne
Splurge: Moet or Veuve Clicquot
Save: Chandon

Cabernet: Beaulieu Vineyards (BV) or FreakShow (good and its has a fun name!)

Chardonnay: Le Crema (My BFF hates chardonnay but she can’t say no to a Le Crema Chardonnay. They also have a pretty good Pinot Noir, which I typically hate but Le Crema is quite tasty!)

Rose (my fave!): Pro tip: the lighter the pink the dryer the Rose, the darker the pink the sweeter the rose. I’m a dry wine girl so I love Targets “Yes Way Rose” Brand or my favorite under $10 rose, Sacha Lichine Le Poussin

Honorable Mention: Holiday Cookie Plate. My mom gave me this idea. She always brings a plate of cookies to every holiday party and leaves the cute Christmas Cookie Plate she served them on behind as a fun hostess gift. Not only are you giving a gift but you're also helping feed the party. Win, Win!!

I hope this gift guide inspires you for your next holiday party and leaves your guests pleasantly pleased they invited you!!
