Mom life is always full speed ahead and sometimes I can barely get a shower in, let alone dress presentable all the time. Yes even fashion bloggers struggle with the day to day task of deciding what to wear. That's why I've found lately when I shop I'm naturally gravitating towards simple pieces making getting dressed and staying comfortable, while running after a one year old, easy. In today's blog I wanted to share some of those comfortable pieces I'm loving, the ones that help keep me looking cute without having to try too hard. No need to live in an oversized tee and sweats, I'm hoping these pieces will inspire you to look and feel your best even if your just hanging around the house.
One of the best pieces of advice I got as a new mother was make time to make yourself feel great everyday. Maybe that means taking a shower or doing your makeup or dressing in something other than your husbands hand me downs. Allow me to assist you in your quest to looking and feeling great with some of these super easy, super cute pieces I like to call my “Mommy Favs.”
1. The Tunic
I love a good tunic length top, mainly because it pairs perfectly with legging, which is a big mommy staple for me. The knotted one I'm wearing below was an Amazon find and it is my favorite. You probably have seen it a few times on the insta feed and that's because I can't resist styling this cute and cozy tunic!
2 The Button Down
If your a mama who is still nursing you are in luck, there are so many cute button up tops out there to help you look cute and accessible for feeding time! The tie bottom tops are really big this spring and they come in so many style's and colors. These are easy pieces that will really make that mommy wardrobe pop!
3. The Jacket
Besides being a great layering piece, a jacket adds some style to your look. I also believe it helps you look put together effortlessly.
4. The Perfect Shoe
I'm a shoe girl, so I believe a great shoe elevates every look and these comfortable, yet functional options are my favorite, especially the leopard print sneaker!
5. The Legging (obvi)
I wear my basic black leggings to bed a lot of the time so I love to throw something on simple over top, add some dry shampoo to my hair, and head on out the door to run some errands. Literally the only way I dress when at home! The leggings on the left are my favorite faux leather leggings that I wear to be a little fancy and the ones on the right I own 6 pairs of and I pretty much live in them when I'm not at work.
