Fashionable Weekend!

As a Cleveland fashion blogger I get invited or attended many fashion events in the city that I love. I remember coming home from fashion school in NYC and seeing the fashion potential in the great city of Cleveland and now that I’m a fashion blogger from Cleveland I have completely immersed myself, or have at least tried to, into the Cleveland Fashion scene. This weekend my schedule was filled with various CLE fashion events I just had to share with you all. I have said it once and I’ll say it again we are a city on the rise and I am so excited and honored to be a part of the rising fashion scene and events like the ones I attended this weekend make me proud to live in the CLE!

Saturday morning I attended a Bloggers and Ballini’s Event at Alson Jewelers on Chagrin Blvd. The event featured Ippolita designs. Ippolita is fine jewelry line that is propelling into the realm of fashion by embracing color, comfort, and exuberance. It was so much fun enjoying some morning pastries along side some of my favorite blogger babes as we played dress up with some really great pieces from the Ippolita line. If you know me you know I love a good piece of jewelry to brighten up any outfit and at the event I saw some great pieces and learned new ways to style and layer jewelry. It was a fun morning and for all my local babes looking to splurge on an amazing piece of jewelry you have to check out Alson Jewelers. What started out as a small brick-and-mortar jewelry store in Cleveland in 1931 has grown to be the one of the premier jewelry stores our great city has to offer.

Candy Bar!

Met up with some of my SC Sisters!

From one amazing event to the the next, Saturday night I found myself in the middle of a midsummer's night dream at the Rockefeller Park & Greenhouse for the 6th Annual Hullabaloo Fashion Show featuring designs by Cleveland’s very own Project Runway Alum, Valerie Mayen, owner of the Yellow Cake Shop. I had heard about this fashion event but, this was the first year I was able to attend and the event did not disappoint. I have been to many different fashion shows around Cleveland over the years and this was one of the best, it made me feel like I was back in college in the middle of Bryant Park during fashion week. To find myself in the CLE and to experience an amazing runway show was truly a treat. The great lawn of the Rockefeller Greenhouse was transformed into an amazing runway featuring floral designs that were made to bloom in this amazing Cleveland landmark. If the scenery wasn’t amazing enough so were the designs featuring florals and stripes and everything nice. It was an amazing event put on for an even greater cause to raise money for L’arche Cleveland. L’arche is an organization with a mission to celebrate the value of people with developmental disabilities. If you haven’t attended this show I highly suggest it is a perfect example of fashion done right in the CLE!

Sweet Treats!
